During the 2001 season Sparky took to the race circuit with one of the 31 Avenger boats he built, putting Vicious Marine to the test. He ran his 31' Cat in P2 and took 3 first places in 3 races, 2001 APBA High Points, Central Division champion and Silver cup series championship. More importantly, he took home ideas of how to improve on an already great, and fast boat.
